CNA Certification Classes & Training
Is CNA Training Difficult?
Many people ask how hard is CNA training? Will I be able to do it? The answer to that is is not difficult and yes you can do it. The training is only 3 months at the longest. You will need to put your life on hold a bit for those three months but after you will have the reward of a CNA certification and a great paying job with awesome benefits that is rewarding and fun. So there may be a little work involved but the pay off is worth it in the end.
During your months or study you will need to attend regularly and be on time. This may be hard for some people but this is a skill needed to keep any job. So if you cannot learn do that at some point then you probably will not be able to keep any job. This is not difficult for most people however so that part of the training should be no problem.
Another part of your training will include listening to instructions and following them. Studying for exams will be required as well. Another skill you need to have is basic math and writing skills. These are easy for most people. If you do not have these skills you can get a tutor to help you brush up before you start but most people will do just fine without this. Another thing to be aware of is the courses you will be taking. You will be learning about specific things and although they are not difficult to learn you will need to pay attention when you are in class in order to get the information you need to take the exams and pass. In your training classes you will learn basic physiology and biology (if you don’t know anything about this, don’t worry they will teach you everything you need to know), Nutrition, and specials hands on skills.
Lastly you will need to pass exams. For many this is the most difficult part. However that being said, most people pass these exams the first time. These are easy exams for those you paid attention in class and did the work required to learn the necessary skills. In order to pass you will need to answer 80% of the questions correctly which is easy for most. This will not be difficult to do. Even if you do not pass the first time you can always brush up and take the exams again.
Getting trained as a CNA may be difficult for some but the majority of people find it quite easy and rewarding. As long as you study, pay attention in courses, and do what is required like any home work you will do fine. The time to get trained is one of the shortest in the medical field so you will not give up much time before you have the reward of a career that you love and get paid well for. Good Luck! You can do it!
