The American Red Cross of Santa Monica is offering a limited enrollment, professional level, American Red Cross Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) training program. The course is a career level course that will provide students with the basic skills to enter the medical profession as a Certified Nurses Assistant.

The course is 22 days in length or 171 hours. Students spend 71 hours in lecture (theory) classes and 100 hours in a clinical setting. The five week class meets Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Enrollment is limited to fifteen students.
Cost for the CNA class is $100.00 for Registration (non-refundable) prior to orientation day and a $1,400 course fee. The course fee includes books, stethoscope, blood pressure cuff, two uniforms, Cardio- Pulmonary Resuscitation training and the State Board Exam. Financial aid or scholarships are not available at this time.
Requirements include an ability to read and understand English at a 5th Grade level or higher. No previous medical training or experience is required. Additional requirements include a United States Social Security card and legal Identification. A physical exam and PPD or Chest x-ray test result form must be completed by prospective students prior to orientation day. Prospective students with any prior conviction are require to have a stamped clearance (FORM 283-B) from the California Department of Public Health.
