(4 day program)In order to become a CNA, you must pass the NC CNA Exam. This exam is 70 questions and 5 skills that you have to demonstrate correctly. During the 4 day class you will be learning how to measure the following:Blood PressureRespirationsPulsePainUrinary OutputIntake & OutputWeightTemperatureWe will also be utilizing State APPROVED practice tests and textbook content as well as repetitive PRACTICE of ALL 24 skills for the State of North Carolina.These skills include: Washing your handsPutting a knee-high elastic stocking on a clientAssisting a client to ambulateAssisting client with using a bedpanCleaning and storing denturesTaking and recording radial pulseCounting and recording respirationDonning and removing PPEHelping dress a client with a weak armFeeding a client that cannot feed themselvesGiving a modified bed bathMaking an occupied bedTaking and recording client's blood pressureMeasuring and recording urinary outputMeasuring and recording a client's weightPerforming passive range of motion for a knee and anklePerforming passive range of motion for a shoulderPositioning a client on their sideProviding catheter careProviding fingernail careProviding foot careProviding mouth careProviding perineal care for a clientTransferring a client from the bed to a wheelchairState ExamOn the last day of class we will provide you with application for the NC CNA STATE EXAM. We will assist you with filling this application out correctly. You will be responsible for mailing the application along with the $101 application fee to NACES. NACES will contact you with your exam date within 1-2 weeks.You will receive your exam results the same day you take your exam, and you will be placed on the registry within 24 hours. This is the process for anyone wanting to become a CNA in NC regardless of where they obtained training.Tuition $450 which includes your CPR certification (required for employment).
