MANDATORY Orientation class Friday, November 18, 2011 from 10am-11am

Open Information/Enrollment sessions for the CNA class:

Mon., Nov. 14, 4pm-5pm ** NO High School Diploma or GED Required **

Ages 16 years & up - males or females welcome!
Nurse Aide class is 135 hours - ONLY 4 weeks - Monday through Friday -
7am-1:30pm for the first 3 weeks near Lee-Davis High School -
then 6am-3:30pm for the 4th week at Hanover Health & Rehab
Cost: $1200 includes everything!
(Cost includes books, scrubs (2-sets), CPR/AED & First Aid 2yr certification, and
Virginia Board of Nursing application fee and certification exam)
This program is a one-stop shop that will take you through your state examination upon successful completion of the program

** Classes do NOT require a high school diploma or GED **
40 Hour Direct Patient Care: $450
Meets and exceeds Virginia Department of Social Services approved curriculum for direct patient care staff in licensed assisted living facilities.
*Required, if not a licensed Certified Nursing Assistant, when signing up for the 68hr Medication Aide class. Students responsible for supplying proof of current CPR certification.
68 Hour Registered Medication Aide: $600
Requires a Virginia Department of Social Services approved 40hr Direct Patient Care certificate or Certified Nursing Assistant license to enroll. Allows participant to apply to the Virginia Board of Nursing for registration. Course content instructs participant how to administer medications in the assisted living environment. Course includes all supplies, textbooks and uniform required for clinical portion of class.
*Student is responsible for supplying proof of current TB test, current CPR certification and Virginia State Police criminal background check.
32 Hour Medication Technician: $350
No prerequisites. Course content instructs participant how to administer medications in adult day cares, adolescent group homes, and correctional facilities. Allows participant to submit to Virginia Geriatric Education Center (VGEC). *Student is responsible for supplying proof of current TB test, current CPR certification and Virginia State Police criminal background check.
Registered Medication Aide 4hr Annual Refresher: $75
All Virginia Registered Medication Aides are required by Board of Nursing to have a minimum of 4hrs of refresher training annually. * All non-registered Medication Aides (32hr course) are required to have 4hrs every 3 years.
